FARMERS DAY
Goalball is a team sport designed for visually impaired athletes. Participants compete in teams of three, and try to throw a ball that has bells embedded in it into the opponents' goal. Teams alternate throwing or rolling the ball from one end of the playing area to the other, and players remain in the area of their own goal in both defence and attack. Players must use the sound of the bell to judge the position and movement of the ball. Games consist of two 12 minute halves (formerly 10 minute halves). Blindfolds allow partially sighted players to compete on an equal footing with blind players.

On the main soccer field also, a wonderful opening match between Volta Hall and Akuafo Hall kicked off at 4:51 pm after the 2011 Inter-Hall opening ceremony. Volta Hall went into the game as favorites with the likes of Nicholina Hanson-Yamoah, Esther Ayiku and Beatrice Tawiah hoping to take the lead in the Inter-Halls Female Soccer Competition. This vision was confirmed when Beatrice Tawiah with style single-handedly dribbled through the Akuafo Hall defence and set the fans celebrating. However the Farmers turned the game around and mounted several attacks against the Ladies with Vision and Style. This proved successful when Janet Korkor put the ball pass her own goalkeeper granting Akuafo a point from their first match.
