THE BEST NEWCOMERS

Newcomers Jubilee/ISH Hall presented a strong line-up of foreign students who were for the first time competing as an independent team in the Inter-Hall  Female Soccer Competition. Otherwise known as the JISH Soccer Academy, the team came into the competition well prepared with their dedicated team manager Abrah Godwin  and a disciplined team of three officials. Captains Riazi Marjan[ Jubilee/ISH ] and Grace Nortey [Sarbah Hall]  staged scintillating performances which reminded all the spectators of the El Classico between Legon Hall and Volta Hall in the 2010 Inter-Hall Female Soccer Competition. The Jubilee/ISH team failed to convert many of the goal scoring opportunities that came their way. Mayssa Chehata however unlocked the door to the Vikings goal post when she powered a shot from the right flank that Kate Renner failed to stop. Vikings Naomi Tetteh, Konadu Yeboah and Cecilia Koomson held the midfield superbly for their Hall. However with the first goal recorded in the 11th minute, the Vikings still could not match the pace of Mayssa Chehata and Summer Woods  whose efforts were rewarded when Riazi Marjan connected a superb pass from Mayssa to clench the winner for Jubilee/ISH Hall.
