VANDALS SET UP VICKINGS SOCCER LEAGUE FINAL CLASH

Commonwealth Hall continued their unbeaten run in this year’s Inter Hall Soccer League to set up a mouth watering final clash against rivals Mensah Sarbah Hall.
The Vandals ended the fairy tale run of the Distant Education Unit team posting a slender 1-0 victory over the debutant. Emmanuel Hanson’s first half tap- in from four yards out, in a well rehearsed free kick shattered the hearts of many who had turned out to support the DESAUG team.

The Vandals had dominated group B defeating two former champions Akuafo hall and Legon Hall en-route to the Top four and as expected to, took the game on its head right from the first blast of the whistle, with their fluid passing play leaving the likes of Wilson Awuah and Nii Tackie Lomoko of the Distant team chasing shadows for greater portions of the game.

Coach Kojo Owusu Dadde lads never really turn up for the party and were quite fortunate to walk away with just a 1-0 defeat but for their troubles a reward of a third place game against Akuafo Hall awaits them.  The Vandals on the other hand will move on to play their sworn rivals Mensah Sarbah Hall in the Final of the University of Ghana Inter Hall soccer league.
