HOW HAVE THE MIGHTY FALLEN?

                                                 LEGON HALL

Last year's gold medalist and the darling team of many female soccer fanatics has fallen woefully. Missing the likes of Sarah Dodoo, Linda Korantemaa and Beatrice Owusu the Legon hall team could not match up to last year's performance therefore succumbing to a 5-0 defeat to Volta hall. In the 2009 Inter-Hall Female soccer competition, Volta hall beat Legon hall with a lone goal in their final clash. The 2010 Inter-Hall  Female soccer competition saw Legon hall being crowned champions as they cruised to a 2-1 victory over Volta hall. This year, Volta Hall has proved the better of the two sides. Still possessing some of the most admired female soccer players on campus like Janet Abdallah, Comfort Arthur and Alexandra Obeng-Gyabaa, Legon hall could not hold off Beatrice Tawiah, Sena Gbeddy, Eva Tetteh and Nicholina Hanson-Yamoah. The net of the former champions shook twice as Beatrice Tawiah with great composure converted some of her goal scoring opportunities into wonderful goals in the first ten minutes. The Legon hall team could neither stop the superb crosses nor the wonderful headers from Senam Gbeddy in the 15th and 22nd minutes. Mavel Antwi also got on the score sheet for Volta hall. The demolition ladies, with the vision of spelling L-E-G-O-N with their five goals have truly risen to see off their long standing soccer rivals in style. The match every soccer fanatic is talking about and looking forward to is Volta Hall vs Jubilee/ISH Hall.
                                               Volta Hall  5-0  Legon Hall
                                               OSEEEEEE VOLTA!
