BILD Young Leaders at International Inspirations

The Beckwith International Leadership Development [BILD] programme is one of the international programmes run by the Sports Directorate. It is aimed at developing leadership qualities in the youth through arts and sports. International Inspirations [II] is a programme run by the United Kingdom government as part of the creation of a sports legacy for the London 2012 olympic games. At the launch, Mr. Matthew Johnson, the Deputy British High Commissioner, mentioned that II was a priority to the British government to ensure that London 2012 includes everyone and also help students develop skills and techniques that would last for many years. The Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Mr. Nii Nortey Duah expressed gratitude to the United Kingdom and UNICEF. He also reaffirmed the help of his ministry towards the project. The Ghanaian representative Agnes Hopson, the headmistress of Swedru Senior High School, was happy that students were engaging in sports activities and they were excelling.The  BILD Young Leaders made presentations at the Launch of International Inspirations including playing the games <<antoakyire>> and Duck duck goose. There were two sketches centered on sports for development, inclusion, tolerance and unity. The event was organised at the British Council Ghana.
