Soccer League Rules for 2013-2014

The  soccer league is starting from Friday 30th August. The rules for the league are as follow:

2013/14 SOCCER LEAGUE

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1.    All teams shall report thirty (30) minutes before the kick-off time indicated on the fixtures.

2.    Any team that fails to comply with rule one (1) shall forfeit the match.

3.    All rules and regulations of FIFA shall apply.

4.    Distribution of points:          Win                 -           3 points

Draw               -           1 point

Lose               -           0 point

5.    Protests: All protests shall be submitted in writing to the Technical Committee of the Sports Directorate not later than 24 hours after the match. It should be signed by the hall tutor/sports tutor and the hall sports secretary.

6.    A team shall comprise the following:

18 players, 1 head coach, 1 assistant coach, 1 team manager and 1 medic.

7.    Graduating students, who are re-writing, are not qualified to participate in the League.

8.    Each hall is allowed to register thirty (30) players for the League.

9.    Participation in the Soccer League will be strictly by affiliation. Registration cards will be inspected before each match. However, spill over players may play for another hall of their choice.

10. None resident students may join the hall of their choice.

11. Names written on the team sheets should correspond to that on the University’s Identity Card.

12. All team sheets must be endorsed by the hall tutor/sports tutor and the hall sports secretary.

13. The duration for each half shall be 45 minutes, with a 15 minutes rest.
