Legon hall emerged champions of the 2012/2013 university of
Ghana inter hall soccer league after beating
GRASAG in the much anticipated
final game of the season by a lone goal. Striker
Jeffery Osei Boateng fetched that crucial goal to ensure the premier hall
finished ahead of their closest rivals Commonwealth hall with 54 points three
more than what the vandals recorded after 22 matches played.
The peak of the season can be attributed to GRASAG’s
impressive run in the league. A team that finished bottom of the log last
season, stood against all odds to finish in 5th place.
In contrast, African Union hall formerly known as pentagon,
failed to make an impact despite the good crop of players they could have
called on from their “PENT LEAGUE”. They finished at the bottom of the league
table with 12 points after winning 3 games, drawing 3 and losing 16 games.
On the unfortunate note, the new generation of the
commonwealth hall team led by skipper Quincy Apaah Asante, failed to win the League
this second semester.
