The basketball match between Commonwealth
Hall (Vandals) and United Nations started at 4:10pm on the basketball court
yesterday, March 5, 2014 at the University of Ghana.
At the first quarter Commonwealth was
leading with a 9:7 against their opponents, United Nations. In the heat of the
match, both parties were frequently and constantly shooting the ball on target but
most of United Nations’ shorts failed to enter the net.
In effect, Commonwealth Hall, with
determination to carry the day led with greater baskets throughout the game.
The wounded United Nations seem to gathered momentum during the third quarter
to win the match or at least equalize with much dribbling and shorts on-target
that failed to enter the basket.
The Vandals jealously maintained the
winning side increasing the scoring pace until they finally carried the day
with 47:22 score against the United Nations.
In other matches, the International Students Hostel (ISH) presented a formidable team against James Topp Nelson Yankah Hall (Former Tf Hostel). They seemed to be in control of the entire game as they vividly led them till the end of the game.
