GHANA RUGBY LEAGUE AND LONDON SCHOLARS DONATES TO UG RUGBY TEAM

The University of Ghana Rugby Team has received a set of Rugby jerseys from the Ghana Rugby League and London Scholars.

At a short ceremony held on 22/11/13 at the University of Ghana Sports Directorate, Mr. Sylvester Wellington, Ghana Rugby League Development Manager presented the set of Rugby jersey on behalf of the Ghana Rugby League and London Scholars to Sports Directorate.

The Director of Sports, Dr. Bella Bello Bitugu received the items on behalf of the Sports Directorate and the Rugby Team.

 





Mr Wellington, in a short message, said the donation is to help support the development of Rugby in the University of Ghana and also strengthen the relationship among the Sports Directorate, Ghana Rugby League and London Scholars. He also expressed a profound interest in building a collaborative partnership between the London scholars and the University of Ghana Sports Directorate. In his final remarks, he emphasized on the fact that the London Scholars would want the University of Ghana Rugby Team to adapt the name Scholars as part of their name branding and the start of a long term partnership between both teams.
Dr. Bella expressed his heart felt gratitude to Ghana Rugby League and London Scholars for such a donation and advocated for a long term partnership and relationship.
