The chess gods must have been smilling on Daniel Osom as he won two games he had no right of winning. First was the game between him and Joseph Mensah-Jamena. Clearly beaten in the middle game, Osom managed to pull off an incredible endgame upset to destroy the defences of a clearly shell shocked Joseph Mensah-Jamena. Next was the game against Edem Aurelius K where Osom, who was down a knight and clearly losing, won on time. It was a week of survival asRichard Kojo Gabah also fought back from a queen down to beat Alex Ofori, to cement his 12th win out of 12,and number one position on the league. The upset of the week was when Yankey Fobah Kwame beat a distraught Elikem Kofi Attah.
The game of the week and game of the tournament thus far is the game between
DANIEL OSOM (Rolly) VS JAMENA. With Jamena playing white.
